I would suggest that, if using 7-98 is necessary (and it may be given that IBC/IRC 2000 references it, and many jurisdictions still use those codes), one can infer from the "correction" in 7-02 that it was an oversight, and use the "correct" figure as needed.

See what I mean about "politics" being a part of what we do?
