RE: structural rope vs strand

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Walt-
I tried to find this (ASCE 19-96) online, but couldn't see it. I'm
using a lot of mfr info. Right now I'm down to the clips which I'm only
seeing as identified as "wire rope" clips. So, your comment re:
differences in the connection hardware has me concerned. Is there
anything you could FAX me on this?
If so, my number is 301-260-0018.
Thanks-
Candi

Candi,

When you get down to the detailed design, there will be some differences
in
the connection hardware between wire rope and strand. The ASCE
publication
has some information on this. I have the 1996 edition (ASCE 19-96) but
I
didn't check to see if there's a later edition.
