In my previous message I forgot the units and to define S- which for 3000 psi conc. is about 250 (the modulus of rupture)
therefore for a 16,000 lb. wheel load,  d = sq. rt. 3 x 16,000/250 = 13.8" thickness.

Can someone give me the standard for a truck wheel load (incl. contact area or wheel pressure or whatever) as defined in AASHTO?

Does anyone use anything different from this for design for truck wheel loading on a slab on grade?
