Point of order, here.

Although I can certainly understand having a specific disagreement with
someone on the list, this statement is terribly over-generalized.

In my opinion, there is much (MUCH) more "original thought" exemplified
on SEAINT than in any office where I've ever worked. That, in fact, is
why I continue to participate here after so many years (seven or eight,
at least). I know that I can come here and get an alternate "take" that
is NOT derived from "conventional wisdom."

In fact, I often state my own suppositions here in appreciation (albeit
with trepidation) that they will be torn apart if they are flawed. I
learn a great deal thereby. I'm always aware that my own sloppy thinking
is suspect at any time.

So I think it's ironic to make the statement that implies "the list"
tends toward only "unoriginal thinking."

I find nothing could be further from the truth.
