     If you put the shops on the bridge you will need to also look into emergency vehicle access to the stores.  Fire trucks and rescue equipment will need access.

Yes, 500' span, with 100' width (for buildings).  The approximate dimension from the water surface to the deck will be about 50'.

 Am I reading this right???  Your bridge has a 500'-0" span length???  It has to be 100'-0" wide???  And it has to be 50'-0" high (or is this the vertical dimension from off the ground)???  Please clarify.
