If the shop is AWS certified, they will know what to do. Having said that, you may want to specify an electrode.

Does anyone have experience with welding stainless (A304) steel to regular A36 steel?  Anything special to be aware of on the engineering end, or can I just leave it to the welder to do his job?

thanks
