Yea, the irony of it all.  I would also bet you a lunch (if your ever in
this area) that he will argue that he thinks that what he has shown is just
fine and maybe even over designed.

Funny thing:

Right now the "big topic" between Architects and Engineers in Texas is the
"horror" of Engineers being permitted to do Architecture!

I can't think of anything to add to that.
