Too much steel? Sounds like too many SF. I suspect that steel and concrete price increases in most buildings have made a difference in the 1-3% range (though the most recent AISC publication claimed mill steel to be back to 2003 levels recently). Given the large amount of concrete involved, that could have made a larger difference, but I didn't see much squabbling over tarmac overruns.

By the way, I believe that I can put together a team which can provide unbuildable plans for them for half the price of the current set ($17M vs $34M). If that's not a bargain, I don't know what is ;-)
