RE: A 722 high strength steel bars

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Matthew,

A722 is 150 ksi rebar with no requirements on hardness. I would be concerned about the potential for hydrogen embrittlement for the galvanized A 722 bar. Hard galvanized steels have long been a concern for hydrogen embrittlement.

Harold Sprague

Is anyone aware of any restrictions on galvanizing A722 high strength steel bars?
