RE: Counterfort Retaining Walls

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Wang and Salmon (1967 ed.) recommends 10 ft. for 25-30 ft. walls and 8' for
40-45' walls. That edition also has design suggestions. I have a later
edition that doesn't say much about designing counterfort walls.

Is there a general rule of thumb for the length and spacing
of counterforts on a counterfort retaining walls?
