It has been my experience that the typical CE / SE dwgs do not really lend themselves to the "goes into" type analysis typical of a machine drawing package.

If u not going to involve to much in BOQ & estimation stuff , u can use MS-excel (about 90% of estimation stuff have been doing by it).
