RE: Fiber Reinforced Masonry Grout

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
I'm guessing that he's talking about "steel reinforcing fibers" rather than poly, glass or even carbon.

I haven't used this, though I've been involved with steel fiber reinforced concrete. Seems like a logical progression, though I'd certainly want to see the ever-popular evaluation reports.

Subject: Fiber Reinforced Masonry Grout

I have a client that has requested the use of fiber reinforced grout to
reinforce an un-reinforced hollow core masonry wall in lieu of using normal
grout and mild steel reinforcing. Has anyone used this type of grout and if
so what was your experience?
