RE: Any Young Engineers Out There?

Bill:

I think you misunderstand my intent. I have no problem paying for stuff that use/need. Why this issue rubs me the wrong way is because I (or my employer or my parents or my parents' employer on my behalf) have been paying into the health insurance "system" my whole life...all against the chance that I might have major medical issue at some point in the future. And now that I have a major medical issue, the insurance company doesn't like that they actually have pay out significantly more than paid in and thus would like to me out of the system (by either not offering coverage to me or making my coverage so expensive that cannot afford it). It would be like if I made bet with you that some sports team would win some game, yet when they lost I refused to honor the bet. In this case I essentially bet that I would have some major medical issue and the insurance company bet that I would not...and I (unfortunately) won the bet but the insurance company does not want honor their "bet".

Scott

I hear you.

I'm so p*ssed that I have to buy my OWN GROCERIES, too!

What's the world coming to, when you have to pay just to exist?
