The HTT would not be my first choice, way too flexible

If you do the statics on the HTT22 it just doesn't work.  They make better ones, esp the PHD family

Corrosion is a concern that's why I like the HDQ8, it has some real meat to it.

That is one reason why we don't use strap type holdowns any more. It is HTT22 or PHD's only.
 
I have seen to far to many straps corroded away after five years or so.  Watering may make the area green but the walls may rock and roll when the EQ happens.
