RE: New AWS D1.1

About eight years ago, I bought a copy of AWS D1.1-1996. At that time, I
also paid $40 for membership because that plus the "member price" for
D1.1 was less than the "non-member price."

IIRC, the total cost was about $110--that is, including the membership.

Further, IIRC, there was a very large "jump" in price for the 2002(?)
edition, which I believe was the one just subsequent to 1996.

IOW, AWS has not ALWAYS been so expensive with their pubs. The price
rose steeply in the late 90s-early 00s.
