As long as it's Sunday night and I need to fiddle around with some FEA results I'll even quibble with this.. How about a lot fewer irresponsible corporate managers.

BTW, as an ME, I'm always running into the consumer product exemption from engineering law. This exemption is the so-called manufactured or standard product exemption. The only reason it exists is becasue of the political clout of manufacturers in state legislatures. The cost of actually engineering a product was deemed too steep, so they rented the right people and got their exemption. If you read any state engineering law engineer there's no sensible rationale for exempting manufactured goods that wouldn't apply to buildings.
