RE: Example analyais of a portal frame

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Jordan,

I use "Steel Designers' Manual" by Gray, Kent, et.al., published for the
British Steel Producers' Conference, by Frederick Unger in 1962. [Yep,
guess I'm an old timer.] It has a section on general analysis methods with
examples, a section on deflections and slopes with examples, and over a
hundred pages of Kleinlogel-type charts with formulas, and graphs for many
different configurations.

Jordan,

The only reference I have at hand is McCormac/Elling's STRUCTURAL
ANALYSIS, but the three-page treatment it gives portal frames doesn't
sound that much better than what you've already got.
