Re: autocad to ansys

I did this many moons ago and had to go through Microstation. Look at the file formats supported by Ansys and Microstation, I don't remember which one is common. It may be the format that Pro-E uses, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone know how to import a autocad file into ansys?

Have you tried exporting to .DXF from Autocad, and then importing the .DXF into Ansys? I don’t use Ansys, but every SA program that I’ve used in the past few years has the ability to import .DXF.
