RE: SUSPENDED CEILING WEIGHT

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
I typically use 1 psf for acoustical ceiling system (including grid and
hangers). I typically use 3 psf for 5/8" gyp board ceiling systems (2.5
for the gyp and 0.5 for suspension structure).

Subject: SUSPENDED CEILING WEIGHT

Can anyone tell me a common weight (dead load) of a suspended ceiling?
Gypsum panels, drywall panels or both if you have them?

Thank you,

JJ

P.S. I assume that includes not only the panel but the supporting grid,
the
wiring to suspend it from my structure and any fasteners needed right?
