If you look at ACI 305 and ACI 306 you will see a
notice where ACI states that these documents are not
standards and should not be referenced in
specifications or general notes.

ACI has released ACI 306.1 which is a standard but you
will have to read it in order to understand the
options availible.

ACI 305.1 is a standard dealing with hot weather
concrete that should shortly be released.

A basic rule of specification writing is, do not
reference a standard that you are not familiar with.
