RE: Dallas to Calatrava: Redesign within the Budget

What is it you don't like about Calatrava?  He has done some of the most
exciting bridges in the world.  

Personally I like the old Swiss approach, where the contest is
design-build for an agreed amount, and at the end it is load tested and
works (you get paid) or doesn't (you pay to remove the problem for the
next guy).  This didn't stop Menn from creating some of the world's best
bridges.
