From the 1967 Edition of the UBC:
Section 2302 (b) 3rd paragraph:
"Floors in office buildings and in other buildings, where partition locations are subject to change, shall be designed to support, in addition to all other loads, a uniformly distributed load equal to 20 pounds per square foot."

Subject: Partition Load in UBC 1970

All,

I am working on an office building which was built in 1970. Does any body know if 20 psf partion load for office buildings was specified somewhere in UBC 1970 or 1973. Any help on this would be highly appreciated.
Cheers,
Bhairavi
