Re: FW: 2006 FIFA World Cup: Who Cares?

The WBC is a joke, done in the offseason mid-spring training when Major Leaguers are out of shape. Those teams would be formidable, but in a 7 game series, they'd never win/beat the winner of the world series (if they keep their international players on the team). Plus, if the US team had it's real allstars at every position, there would be absolutely no doubt. The WBC was a one game matchup, need at least a 2 out 3 to see who the best team is because a Pitcher can win a game virtually alone.

If that was allowed, the Dominican Team would be the best of that lot. Japan's pro league is the next best to the US and it's champion would be crushed.
