Re: Winos, was San Bernardino wind speed

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
I was up in St. Helena (in the heart of Napa Valley) yesterday inspecting a house for my architect/client who bought the house and is remodeling. He took me out to dinner afterward and he said anything I want, they have great wines here as you know....

Waiter: And for you sir?

GM:  A pint of Bud please, Thanks. (they didn't have guinness)

Waiter: Very good sir.

York Mountain is beautiful.  I was there for the three day Zinfandel Festival earlier this year.  I prefer the westerly locations and all the way out to Justin and the varietals grown in limestone!  I bought three vines when I was there, just for fun.  They are doing ok so far!  Wild Coyote and Castoro Cellars are definitely must stops as well.

Good Call Joe, they make a great Zinfandel and the winery is pleasant.

Also, Eberle for Cab, and Meridian has excellent limited release and estate selections only available at the winery.  The other one is Wild Horse in Templeton, excellent winery.

Sharon :

Do visit York Mountain Winery, a little out of the way but worth the adventure.
