I think that it's was around four feet.   Head room problems also limit the capacity of what anchor that can be installed.   The anchors capacity inside the building was limited to 10 kips.   The front of the building is being removed for installation of a new concrete grade beam and we be able to install 30 kip capacity anchors as well as battered anchors to handle the lateral loads.   You should probably get the SF installer to visit the site and to actually see your conditions.   I've had them out on three different projects.  Two of these locally and one in the Napa Valley.

If you have to go through the floor, then there might be a dust problem.

How far do you have to go down to get to competent material.   In our case, it's between five feet and about ten feet.  We also have a ground water problem as well as the front of the building is situated over an old creek bed.  The new creek course was relocated about one hundred feet north.   The founding material is rock.

I've talked to one San Francisco installer who thinks head room is no problem.  He hasn't installed them in data centers though.  In our case, there are aisles between the server racks and the exterior walls that afford some space for construction but not a lot.  What was your head room limit?

Are the micropiles going under the ground floor?   You might contact some micropile installers and see if they can physically install the micropiles with the head room that exists.  I've had a number of problems with this; in fact, one that we're working on presently.

We finally gave up and moved most of the contents out and tore up the floor.
