Review the shop drawings and note that the beams were installed prior to shop drawing review; do not approve or reject.  Any discrepancies should be summarized in a letter to the client (and/or owner). Just my opinion of what I would do...

The client is a good one. The contractor is a good one. The owner is a good one. I suspect this is an honest mistake; I don’t believe that anyone is trying to pull a fast one.

  2. Reject the shop drawings or
