That’s an easy one, Jim.

 

Just look at the relative sizes of the PACs. We, as a group, do a poor job of defending/promoting ourselves, so we end up where we deserve, in the back of the line, low in the food chain. How else can you explain the fact that Architects can do structural observation on projects in Seismic Zone 4?

 

But, maybe it’s different in Washington State.

I find it curious that when engineers compare percentage fees, the antitrust lawyers raise a great hue and cry, but every realtor in town charges the same six percent and there is nary a whisper.
