Not really the right gift for clients, but The Airzooka at think geek is a blast to play with. It's interesting from an engineering standpoint, and I have yet to find a single 3-8 year old that won't start yelling "shoot me again" after the first time the vortex messed up their hair.  It has a solid 15-20 foot range.

I'm going the boring route - basket-o-stuff, though mostly from local shops (good coffee and various edible treats).
