eccentricity then it doesn't matter what the slope of the column is.

If load is vertical and column is tilted off vertical, then have large
eccentricity, a resultant bending moment, and no longer have pure column, it
is a beam-column, and needs designing for the combined actions. I don't
believe it matters what the material is.
