Go to the link above and click on 'miscellaneous' and you will find the
USS Wire Rope Handbook from 1968.  Don't know if it will have everything
you want, but I would think it might.

Do a Google search for Wire Rope Handbook or Rigging Handbook. I think 
I've seen the book you're talking about, but I can't remember the title 
exactly.
