In the CSA aluminum code it states that there is no problem with galv steel or s.steel in contact with aluminum. Just a problem with wood, fibreboard, bare steel among others.

Subject: Aluminium and stainless steel.

Gentlemen and Ladies

Is there a problem with having Aluminium and stainless steel in contact (bearing) with each other ? Does the problem also  exist when  the steel is galvanized.

I know there is a problem with uncoated steel and aluminium.  In this case we specify a gasket as standard practice.

Thanks in advance
