Wind Load - Gas Station Overhead

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Just curious if someone has experience or ideas as to how someone would come up with wind loads for those overhead structures typically seen at gas stations. Basically an open structure with column support(s). Seems like this would behave like an airplane wing and wouldn't fall under signs nor buildings specifically. Are engineers for these going to wind tunnels all of the time?
