It ain't just refineries anymore.

Nowadays, no one wants schools, churches, shopping centers (esp. Wal-Mart), casinos, bars, strip clubs, gas stations, sports complexes, highways, factories, or anything else that might "threaten property values."

The "planned community" folks from the 50s and 60s definitely didn't see this coming, where everyone would want to be as FAR AWAY from everything as possible.
