RE: Equivallent Frame Method for RC shear walls

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
The equivalent frame method was initially described in ACI 318-77 for
analyzing reinforced concrete buildings.
I'm assuming you have a system of shear-walls and coupling beams and
you're considering translate/model the stiffness of your shear-walls
and coupling beams into stiffness of columns and beams.
Using this method to analyze a shear-wall/coupling beam system, would
yield inaccurate results.

Subject: Equivallent Frame Method for RC shear walls

 Hi,

1- Dose any one know how to model a RC single shear wall through
equivallent frame method?
2- in this method how can I model the material?

Thanks alot,
