If using the AASHTO Standard Specifications (Non-LRFD), please refer to Division II – Construction. Also, if using precast beams refer to PCI Tolerance Manual, MNL135-00 and for welded steel girders refer to the AWS Bridge Welding Code D1.5. For concrete bridges, ACI 343R “Analysis and Design of Reinforced Concrete Bridges” provides some insight to tolerances.

 

If using the AASHTO LRFD Code, refer to the commentary but also refer to the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Construction Specifications, and still cross verify with the AWS and PCI tolerances.

Don't forget ACI 117-06. It's not bridge-specific but it is a great guideline for situations that might be in doubt. Also, many states have their own specifications which may include tolerances.
