I would ask you not to jump to any conclusions.  Nothing in this article represents new information.
 
Two independent panels are currently hard at work.  One is evaluating allegations of ethics violations by individuals and the other is evaluating ASCE's policies and procedures for conducting investigations in the aftermath of events like 911 and Katrina.  Both panels should complete their reports by the end of April 2008.  ASCE will then promptly take whatever actions are appropriate.  All of this will ultimately be published.  Please be patient.
