RE: Lamella Structures

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]

I checked my old 2nd edition of the AITC TCM, (1974) and there is nothing but a one paragraph definition of the word “lamella” (sort of like putting flowers on the grave, I guess).   Apparently between the first and second editions of AITC TCM was about the time the system fell so out of favor that even the analysis method was completely deleted from the AITC text.

I have a "Modern Timber Engineering" book (1954) which has about 6 pages on how to design a lamella roof. I believe that they went out of favor when glu-lam became popular- about 50 years ago.
