Do not forget the lateral wall load of 6000 lb at 18 inches above floor (ASCE 7-05 4.4.3 Vehicle Barrier System). This 6000 lb impact load is for vehicles traveling less than 5 mph. Slightly higher speeds, the load remains about the same because of increased crushing resulting in more energy absorption.

The 18 inches is because curbs are too easy to jump.
