Re: Weather proof paint

Option 1: How about galvanizing it and then painting over the galv.
Option 2: Can stainless steel be used for this application? Stainless steel is best and it looks sexy.
Option 3: Look into a "zinc rich primer".

I have a project we called out galvanize for structural steel. The owner does not like the galvanize. What type of paint or power coat that can be used in lieu of galvanize? What is the ASTM number?
TIA
