RE: Min Collateral DL

Sorry, my reference below was for lateral load on interior walls and partitions - I just realized you asked about collateral DL.  If you are talking about movable partitions, vertical collateral DL is covered in IBC Section 1607.5, but I don't think that there is a code mandated collateral load for mechanical/ electrical equipment, as Harold stated.

Not sure if it's in ASCE 7-05, but it is covered in Section 1607.13 of the 2006 IBC.
