RE: Stainless Steel for Structural Applications

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Bill,
Can you be a bit more specific?  Are you trying to use cold formed stainless steel provisions for carbon steel cold formed provisions?  In theory there should be little difference, but there are significant differences in the provisions like seismic.

Subject: Stainless Steel for Structural Applications

Folks, what is the latest on design provisions for stainless steel?

A few years back it seemed there was only a Eurocode available for this. ASCE had a COLD-FORMED stainless code, but I want to check the structural viability of regular plate (e.g. A 240).

Any news?
