Texas Stadium in Irving, Texas, the home of the Dallas Cowboys for 38 years, was imploded at dawn on Sunday, April 11, 2010. There are unconfirmed rumors of rowdy Internet watch parties and celebrations having been held in New York, Washington, and Philadelphia. However, the best place to watch this event was in person. More than 20,000 Texans rolled out of bed early, or tailgated all night, in order to see it live and feel the concussion.
One of those in attendance was the director of Halff Associates' Visual Technologies Group. He captured the implosion with a high resolution video recorder. You can view a short version of the excellent results at the link below. If you have a wide pipe, I recommend full-screen viewing ... and be sure to crank up the sound.
The DO NOT ENTER road sign is particularly timely.
