See section 8.8.2. And, I would read the commentary for this section thoroughly. If the wall is tall and slender it would probably not make a big difference. But for stalk walls shear stiffness reduction should definitely should be considered.

There no 10.4.4 in my copy of ACI 318.08

    According to aci 318-08, we should reduc wall section property by 0.35Ig. what is your idea about reduction of shear stiffness? do you agree with ACI that we should just reduce the flexural stiffness of wall?
