That reminds me of coldformed steel sheds. Most suppliers have engineering drawings which show the column base plates sat on top of the concrete slab (eg. cast the slab and build shed on level platform). But they don't do this. Contrary to cladding manufacturers recommendations they insist on using the wall cladding to form the sides of the slab. So the buildings are fully erected and clad, resting some 150 mm on top of the anchor bolts waiting for the slab to be poured underneath. The sheds are designed for fixed bases. They've apparently been doing this way for 30 years or so, and don't see any reason to change.
