RE: Aluminum design for Canada

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Hi Scott.

I'm not familiar with the US standard. There is a lot of cooperation,
comparison and cross-review with other jurisdictions, so I would be
surprised if there were significant fundamental differences.

The best place to get a copy would be the Canadian Standards Association
(CSA). I forget how much but you can get either a pdf or hard copy. There
are a not a few pages so it would be time-consuming to scan and send.

http://shop.csa.ca/bin/venda?ex=co_wizr-locayta&template=wz_locayta2column&p
ageno=1&perpage=10&collate=pdxttranname&refine_sort_alph=&fieldrtype=type&te
rmtextrtype=invt&typertype=exact&fieldcatrestrict=xancestorid&termtextcatres
trict=shop&typecatrestrict=exact&datasource=shopcsaen&typekeywordsearch=keyw

Looks like pdf version is $CAN81

Cheers

Thor

Thor,

Thanks.  You confirmed my suspicions.

A follow-up question...do you per chance have any idea how close it might be
to the US code (the Aluminum Design Manual)? I am kind of assuming not, but
thought I would ask.

Actually, one more question...where would I get my hands on it if I were so
inclined?

Thanks,

Scott
