NFPA Pathways (1) Pathways shall be over areas capable of
supporting the live load of fire fighters accessing the roof.

So in other words, you have to provide the minimum live load between the
panel arrays, but not within the same footprint as the panels as the fire
fighters are not going to be walking on top of the panels.

Is anyone aware of a provision of the NFPA Life safety Code that mandates
that the minimum Roof Live Load required by the regular building code
cannot be compromised as a part of any superimposed loads (such as solar
panels) placed on top of a roof such that the full minimum building code
roof live load is held in reserve/available for first responders to safety
access a roof during an emergency/fire?
