Checking ACI 318-89 Appendix A

A3.2 states that fs shall not exceed the following:

a) Grade 40 or Grade 50 . . . . 20,000 psi
b) Grade 60 or greater and
    welded wire fabric . . . . . . . 24,000 psi
c) For flexural reinforcement
   3/8" or less in diameter, in
   one-way slabs of not more
   than 12 ft. span  . . . . . . . . . .0.50fy
                                    (but not greater than 30,000 psi)
