RE: L-shaped A490 Anchor Bolts

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Tack welding is always bad form unless the tack is later incorporated
into a full weld pass. Tack welds can be so small as to be the equivalent
of an arc strike causing cracking. HTH, Jim Getaz

"Bad form" because...?

The Gr 36 material is weldable as are the nuts. I'm always willing to
entertain new ideas of course but in our jobs - petro/industrial - we have
a jillion anchor bolts. This is a cost effective solution.
