Yeah, that's pretty much what the code says. I'm just a little surprised 
that there is no difference between SDC C and D-F unless Pa/Pcap >0.20. 
<shrug>

Bill, per S.K. Ghosh's 2009 IBC Handbook Structural Provisions, pp. 125, 
12.5.3.a (or b) applies to the following:
	- SDC C when Type 5 plan irregularity exists,
	- SDC D-F when Type 5 plan irregularity exists, &
	- SDC D-F when "...any column or wall that forms part of two or more 
intersecting [SFRSs] and is subjected to axial load..."

If you don't have access to the book, & you need what I've described 'more
