RE: License Renewal Telemarketing Calls

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
A month ago I got a snailmail from such an outfit about my TEXAS license.
I have never had a Texas license. I quickly learned Texas has a very good
search feature on their website that turned up no such license - I was
worried somehow my name had gotten listed there. Turns out the outfit had
made a list of Pennsylvania licenses but put them in their mailing as Texas
licenses. I had already renewed my Pennsylvania license. As an apology,
they offered half price on some of their courses. James L. Getaz III, P.E.

Subject: [SEAINT-SEAOSC] License Renewal Telemarketing Calls

start off "we're calling because we see your engineering license renewal is
due. We wanted to make sure your professional development obligation is
met because this could impact your eligibility to renew your license.
Please call us back at _______ as this is an urgent situation."

Reverse Lookup indicates this is a cell phone.

I'm trying to see if there's any way I can block telemarketing calls to my

It wouldn't be a big deal except they've called once each of the last three
